The client paid, but it doesn't show

A payment shows on a booking only once it's confirmed: Wayl confirms it, you record the cash, or you confirm the transfer. Here is each case and what to do.

3 minutes

We don't record a payment because a client says they paid, or came back from the payment page. It's recorded once your Wayl store confirms it, or you record it. That keeps a booking from looking paid when it isn't.

How a payment is recorded

  1. The client pays
  2. It's confirmedBy Wayl, or by you
  3. The booking reads paid
  4. ReportsIn the month of the booking's date

The cases

  • OnlineThey paid online a few minutes agoThe booking waits for Wayl to confirm. If its notice doesn't reach us, we ask your store ourselves every few minutes. Give it a little time, and don't record cash for this amount.
  • CashThey paid you cashCash doesn't show until you record it on the booking: until then it reads No payment recorded yet. How do I record it?
  • TransferThe client says they sent a transferTheir word doesn't change the booking. Check your account, then tap Received on Today. How?
  • DepositThey paid only partWhen the client paid the deposit, the booking shows what was paid and what's left. The rest is paid on arrival: record it when you get it.
  • ReportsThe money is in another monthA booking's money counts in the month of its date, not the day it was paid. Look for it in Reports under the booking's month.
