Terms of use

Last updated: 22 October 2026

These terms apply whenever you use Jalsa: as a client who books, or as a provider who takes bookings. By using Jalsa you accept them and our privacy policy.

What Jalsa is

Jalsa is software for bookings and payments, for providers in Iraq: one person, a team or venue, or a tour agency. A provider lists services and events on their page, and clients book them.

The provider, not Jalsa, gives the service, sets its price and terms, and answers for it. The agreement for a service is between the client and the provider; Jalsa is not a party to it.

Your account

  • You sign in with a code sent by WhatsApp or email, or with Google, Facebook or Apple. You need an account to book.
  • Use your real name, and a phone number and email that are yours.
  • Keep your phone, email and the accounts you sign in with safe: what is done from your account is your responsibility.
  • Clients pay Jalsa nothing.

Bookings

  • A booking is made the moment you confirm it. There is no hold and no waiting list.
  • The provider sees your booking at once and may contact you about it.
  • Come on time, or cancel or move your booking as the provider's terms allow. A provider may mark you as a no-show if you don't come.
  • A provider may move or cancel your booking, and you are emailed when they do. When they move it, you may cancel free for a while, as the email says.
  • A booking you chose to pay online and did not pay by the time its page shows is cancelled.

Paying for a booking

  • You pay the provider, not Jalsa: in cash, by a bank or wallet transfer to the provider, or online through the provider's own store on Wayl. Jalsa never receives or holds a client's money.
  • Prices are in Iraqi dinars and shown before you book, with any deposit to pay up front.
  • Online payments are handled by Wayl, under Wayl's own terms.

Cancellations and refunds

  • Each provider sets their own cancellation and refund terms. You see them before you book, and your booking keeps the terms in force when you made it.
  • A refund comes from the provider: online through their Wayl store, or by hand. Jalsa can ask the provider's store for the refund the terms allow, but Jalsa does not hold the money and cannot refund it itself.
  • If you disagree with a provider about a cancellation or a refund, contact the provider. We may help you reach them, but the decision is theirs.

If you are a provider

When you take bookings on Jalsa, you agree to:

  • keep your page accurate: your services and events, prices, hours, places and terms;
  • offer only lawful services, and hold any licence they need;
  • honour the bookings you receive, or cancel them in good time and refund what your terms owe;
  • run your own Wayl store and transfer accounts, deal with Wayl and your bank yourself, and handle your own taxes;
  • answer for your team: who you add, and what they do in your business;
  • use your clients' details only to serve their bookings and keep your records, keep them safe, and follow the law that applies to you, including for anything you send through webhooks.

Plans and billing

  • A business starts on the Free plan. Paid plans, such as Pro, are billed by the month or the year at the price on the pricing page, and paid through Jalsa's own Wayl store. A free trial may be offered.
  • 14 days before your paid time ends, we issue the next invoice; your plan continues once it is paid. You can stop renewing at any time; your plan then runs to the end of the time you paid for.
  • If a plan is not paid, it lapses 3 days after its paid time ends. Your business then works under the Free plan: what goes beyond it, such as more services and events, team calendars or online payment, is paused, never deleted. Bookings already made keep their date, and paying brings everything back.
  • A change of plan is prorated: the paid time you have not used counts toward the new one.
  • Stopping, changing or downgrading a plan refunds nothing; any refund of a plan is at Jalsa's discretion.
  • If we raise the price of your plan, we tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you.

Acceptable use

Do not use Jalsa to:

  • offer or book anything unlawful, or deceive anyone;
  • pretend to be someone else, or use someone else's phone, email or account;
  • make bookings you do not mean to keep, or send spam;
  • collect other people's details, or use them for anything but the booking they made;
  • attack, overload, copy or scrape Jalsa, or get around its limits and plans.

Suspension and closing an account

You can stop using Jalsa at any time, and delete your account as our privacy policy explains. We may suspend or close an account or a business that breaks these terms or the law, or puts others at risk; when we can, we tell you first and why. A suspended business's page takes no bookings, and nothing in it is deleted.

Our responsibility

  • We work to keep Jalsa running and correct, but it is provided as it is, and we cannot promise it is always available or free of errors.
  • Jalsa is not responsible for a provider's service, its quality, prices or refunds, nor for Wayl, banks, or other services outside Jalsa.
  • As far as the law allows, Jalsa is not liable for indirect losses or lost profits, and its total liability to a provider is limited to what the provider paid Jalsa for plans in the twelve months before the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Iraq, and any dispute about them goes to the competent courts in Baghdad.

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms, we update the date at the top. If a change matters, we tell you by email or in Jalsa before it applies. Using Jalsa after that means you accept the new terms.
